Default No obd data from gearbox

Hi all,

I've realized that I can't get any data about the gearbox with the obd reader - oil temp, etc.
All shows 'N/A'.

I changed the oil recently but don't recall having checked anything apart from fault codes (there are none) prior to this so can't tell whether the issue was present before.

The gearbox was changed in the past (has yellow paint on it), so possibly not from the same year than the car, but selecting other years from the reader does not change anything.

Any idea? Does that indicate a fault somewhere?

I'm a bit concerned as the gear changes are sometimes a bit rough despite the new oil.

My bad, I thought I had the model and year as a signature.
It's 2000 3.2 with the 5HP24 gearbox.

I did follow this procedure for the refill (with an infrared thermometer), so the level should be about right. Temp was 42° or so.
Fun time when it started overflowing and I was trying to put the cap back without touching the exhaust pipe too much... (Can't lift the car much so had to work lying below)

Does it say it supports your autobox OBD?

Yes, it has the Jaguar/Land Rover firmware.
I can get pretty much all the other information from the OBD.

Unfortunately I have no other reader and don't know anyone owning one.

On the way back home yesterday, I switched to sport mode and floored it : the shifts to 4th and 5th gears were pretty rough and jerky.

Is that a symptom of a wrong oil level ? When doing the refill I had the car leveled out and at the right temperature (I think), but possibly I messed up somehow.
