oldest new topic, differential oil change
Good day, everyone.
this topic is perhaps the least talked about topics in terms of actual solution we could come out with collectively.
I DID try to search this topic but could not find any "clear and straight forward" instruction how to do the differential oil change. what I could find so far would be .
photo instruction will be appreciated.

- difficult access point to the plug/screw blocked by the anti roll bar
- X100 (XK) owner tried to access from the truck by cutting out a hole . which I don't wish to do …
photo instruction will be appreciated.

I've done it. Short 1/2 inch wobble extension works. Insert that in plug. I then either used a wrench or a vice grip to turn. Need a hand pump that both sucks and blows. (No rude comments). Sorry, no pics.
Its been a long time since I did mine but try this: https://www.gearwrench.com/products/...-drive-adapter
Stick the adapter in the plug and use the large 19mm open end to break it loose, then you can switch to the ratchet end to unscrew it the rest of the way. Just be sure you can break the fill plug loose before you remove the drain plug as its really hard to put oil back in the same way it came out.
I love these adapters tho because there's lot's of places on lots of cars that a regular ratchet head is too fat. Plus I like Gearwrenches in general, with their small swing arc and smooth operation. I have them of different lengths and flexible jointed ones. Gearwrench also sells mid-length 6-point sockets, deeper than a standard and shallower than most other brands deep sockets. Its always about finding the right-length combination of adapters, extensions and sockets to fit in the space available and give you maximum swing arc. You can never have too many tools.

There is only one plug.
It's hell getting old and not remembering details like having to syphon out the old oil. That must've been the easy part. Most cars tho have a drain plug near the bottom and a fill plug above and I've done several like that since the XJ8.
