My XJR 2000 with 155,000 km on it is my daily driver always stored in a garage.

Yesterday morning all of a sudden the car goes into limp mode.
I stopped by the roadside and turned off the engine. Started it and drove for a bit and it happened again. I repeated the restart and somehow got to my destination.
Took it for a 40 minute spin last night and nothing happened.
Again this morning the limp mode and error happened. My OBD reader states a trouble code P0121.

Looking through the forums I see it's the incorrect signal from throttle position sensor.
Some forums mention cleaning the TPS connectors. Any other things I should look at?

Yep...dissimilar metals can cause all kinds of corrosion issues which
in turn, yields poor connectivity. Any engineer worth his salt should
have caught that while it was being designed.
