P0456 & P1000 codes???
My check engine light has come on and I went to the local auto store and had it scanned. Well the codes come back as P0456 and P1000. I researched google and it says could be small leak in the EVAP system. I just had the dealership install a new fuel pump so could this be the cause maybe they cracked a line in the system or is this system totally none related to the fuel tank removal area? I would like to look over the hoses of the EVAP system and purge valve and EVAP canister but I have no idea of where to start looking. So I need some help on locating this so I can do my visual check and I will be calling the dealership come Monday. I also tried to clear the code by unhooking the battery but it comes back on instantly. Thanks for any help.

JBo:
The p1000 code is a drive cycle not complete code, so that just indicates SOMEONE has reset your obd codes and you have not finished the self test cycle since it happened. They certainly removed the battery for the fuel pump replacement and that would cause the reset.
The P456 code is a small leak. You are right it COLD be that they left some hose a little loose, but it is most likely that gas cap not on tight. If the cap is right, take it back and get them to check the clamps.

It means that the ECM has been reset - clearing any codes - and the number of drive cycles required to test all of the smog equipment have not yet been completed... once they have, the P1000 changes to a P1111. This usually takes a couple of days of normal driving and a few engine starts, if I recall.
