Primary tensioner failing, need advice

I was not able to get the bolts on the new tensioner side of the guides to be tight enough before the head was below the nylon hole surrounding it, so I though it would be better not to leave it in there with a loose bolt....

Do your bolts look like these? The first pics are with the bolts tight, and these are of course just barely started.

Your Swartz is bigger than mine!

Looks like the head of your bolts is a little bigger than mine..

I lost one of those bolts- and it is not a standard metric shoulder bolt, either. I think it cost me about $25.00 at Jaguar.

since there is so little wear on the chain guides, except for the one that I changed, & I did change both tensioners to the upgraded units, I am content put it back together now and see how it goes.

The other way would be to find a suitable washer, but whatever you feel is best.

Something is wrong, your old guide bolts should work fine especially the pivot bolt...... The only bolts that need changing are the secondary tensioner bolts
