Ok folks. BIP has just finished fabricating a killer set of long tube headers. pics to come. they are already mounted on my car. 550cc injectors have also been completed for those of you with a twin screw would benefit. getting close!!!

Weren’t the headers ready 2 months ago?

Or has bip made new ones? Anyway looking forward to how the new/old ones look though. Would it also fit a XKR? And last but not least what would it cost?

"Getting close" at this rate probably means at least a couple of months or? But I hope for you it will get sorted soon of course, as an enthusiast 1 year without a car, and not knowing when it all will be ready is tough.

PS Just a comment on the injectors for the 4.0 cars with twin-screws kits (if you mean mine that is), it is only going to benefit if you are going for the extreme power levels, but there is a much easier/cheaper way to achieve more fuel flow if required, and that is upping the fuel pressure a bit.

They have been ready but just installed on the car. I don't think they will fit an XK unless the clearances are exactly the same as it is a really tight fit on the XJ. Cheers

It's indeed very tight, but maybe when I see pictures on how it's fitted on your car I can check if it could fit on a XKR (it might with maybe small adjustments). Am not familiar with the XJR engine bay, but from pictures seen, there is a chance it will not be far off.

What would the manifold cost (ex fitting)?

It's all one way with TC - don't expect a reply Avos - I think he's got a (very expensive) point to prove to nobody.

No point to prove Sean. I like power and I like jags. The car is sponsored by BIP so you would be surprised as far as $$$ goes. Avos I'm not sure what BIP will ask for the set. I'll call tony and see if he can get some pics of clearances. Sean, how's your car coming?

I finished the XJ last year - I'm currently restoring the cars in my sig, the MK2 is nearly ready for paint. Hunting for an XKR to strap a twinscrew to, so I'm very interested in what Bucket have.
My problem is the timescale, and the cost. If you recall you took a swipe at Avos re: cost, now your car's sponsored, no wonder it's taken so long. That explains a lot. What would these mods cost us 'unsponsored' types? Will your car have BUCKET decals down the side?

I think the idea is to develop new parts. Not everyone will want to go as far as we did with my car but there will be some awesome parts coming out of the whole thing. Not sure about the stickers or buckets. For anyone wanting parts it won't be a waiting around thing as they are already made and ready to go. Is there a thread where I can check out your car? My previous comment wasn't a jab I just want to see your setup.

The fact that the car is "sponsored" is probably why it's not top priority but more of a back-burner project. I'm sure it doesn't help that it's an aging platform that is cheaper to get into than maintain and unfortunately will not retain value even in modified form.
I still respect the fact that someone is willing to take a route less traveled and I'm curious to see what it will do.
