Question about dashlights
Was fighting with dash light issues and got it working. There was a wire on the light stalk that needed soldering.
My clock light and cruise switch light still doesn't work but I'm assuming there's bulbs in there that I can change.
My question is...are the steering wheel switches (set, resume, etc) supposed to light up? I just bought the car and dashlights haven't worked since I got it so I'm not sure what's supposed to work and what isn't haha
Thanks

Ok thanks. I just found out last night that the J Gate is supposed to light up as well. Mine doesn't...i just have the red gear selection light but no surrounding light. So I guess there must be bulbs in there too that I'll need to change.
I think it was @Philip_A who posted all the details of what each one is.
The J Gate bulbs are easy enough to change, just take your time and don’t burn the circuit board with the soldering iron.
I’ve no idea why people get so offended about the steering wheel buttons not being illuminated, once you’re familiar with your vehicle you shouldn’t need to look at where the buttons are on the wheel.

I'll admit I was surprised the steering wheel controls didn't illuminate when I got a x308, it feels like they should. Not an issue now I know the buttons as you say though.
