I've found many threads discussing xj8 water pump replacement but haven't come across any for the R. In a matter of two days what started as a slight squeal on start up has turned into a loose water pump pulley with a broken bolt. My question is whether it's as straight forward as the n/a cars? I don't want any surprises because my main toolbox was stolen and don't want to be stuck at home with the cat apart.

 

The engines are the same as far as accessories. The pump is ALMOST as easy as a Normally Aspirated.

Got it done this morning, managed to get it done without removing the s/c belt.
