im about to have this work done to solve the problem of some semi-hard downshifts and somewhat hard drive engagement. upshifts are otherwise good and all external possibilities have been either tested or replaced. this is a replacement trans and the pump seals / filter and almost new torque converter were installed along with it. has anybody had this type of work done and what was the result? this was the alternative to pulling the trans again which is much more labor cost.

 

It can all be done by pulling the oil pan, so the labour should not be much. I can't say if it will fix your problem, though. Good luck.
