Default Radiator Cooling Fan Problem

I recently replaced the lower radiator cooling fan motor because it shorted out and blew the 30A fuse. After replacing the motor, the 30A fuse, and the Fan Relay (located in front driver's side fender), both of my radiator cooling fans only run when the A/C is turned on.

- Also, the cabin gauge cluster temperature works (not sure if that matters)

Is there another coolant temperature sensor that I am missing that may be bad that is needed to trigger the fan when the engine gets up to temp - if so where is it located?

I ran a search on this issue first, prior to posting, but if I missed it - please direct me where to look - thank you.

Okay the JTIS states that there is a coolant sensor located towards the rear of the engine near the 'top hose' - not sure exactly where this is and the JTIS does seem to elaborate. Before I tear into, I'm wondering if this sensor were bad then why would the gauge cluster read normal??

From JTIS Electrical Guide:
ECTS: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Connector Type/Color: PI4 / 2-WAY ECONOSEAL E J2 / GREY
Location: ENGINE COMPARTMENT / REAR OF ENGINE TOP HOSE
