Default Radiators, there HAS to be a cheaper solution

What is the deal with radiators for this car? There HAS to be a cheaper solution that the absolutely absurd 1200 dollars it supposedly costs to get a new one.
Does anyone know another vehicle that shares the same radiator as the XJR/XJ8? Any aftermarket options?

So far this is the cheapest I can find and even that is absurd.

I realize this is a luxury car but I've owned BMWs, Porsches, etc. and I can find basically any radiator for those cars for 2-300 dollars max. Just hoping there's something out there before I spend what I spent on this entire car on a radiator.

Default Cheaper option

Hi
I replaced mine 8 months ago
I paid about $790 Australian delivered from China through Ebay.
All Aluminium part # MNC4190AH
Fitted perfectly

The seller is a strange name Winner_Cooling_Super
But if you search Ebay with the part # I am sure that you will find it.

i got a low mile 2003 used part from noma auto parts on ebay. Fairly easy to leak test and run some cleaning solution through.

I've had to scrap out two cars that were wrecked and wish I had kept a lot more parts; including perhaps a radiator. If I had a place to keep a parts car that would be ideal; but really not in the neighborhood!

Powerhouse UK do an aftermarket uprated rad for £749, no idea what shipping would be like though.

Still not a cheap option either. Can't you get it rebuilt somewhere? that's what I'd do over here.

Ditto. Have ordered numerous parts from Noma off eBay. Never disappointed.

I replaced mine last year, I did a thread on the process. The only non OEM product was these chinese aluminium radiators on ebay. Nothing against, but with taxes and stuff the price was not so tempting.

Best is maybe to go for a used one.

Or try to repair yours, if possible. I tried that way but only asked at one place and they said it was not possible, but I think they were not very interested.

At the end I bought one in SNG Barratt for around 900 €. For some strange reason, I could not properly fit the fan cowl afterwards, I had to force it a bit, same with the top retaining plate. Issue with the radiator? Maybe.

Be aware; some of the new replacements at $900 and up plus ground shipping
have transmission tanks that are not deep enough for factory transmission line fittings. The metal fittings bottom out and don’t allow fluid to flow through the radiator to cool properly. You can see the depth difference in my crude measuring stick.

The supplier made good on refunding my money and shipping. The radiator order was confirmed with my vin and this is the original radiator and transmission lines. These cars are worth the extra expense, trouble and headaches but it can be frustrating. Scott

Now that you say, I remember the transmission lines not fitting to the end.

Which radiator is supposed to be used? There were no more options I believe.
