I was troubleshooting the door release last year & when I replaced the driver door card/panel I broke the clip on the lower left corner (as I face the panel)
I searched & found a replacement.
It came in a green colored plastic pouch.
Has a barcode and it says: "Jaguar door panel casing clip XJ8 98–03”
Also has the following model number: “KTD300002GEN.
I have procrastinated because I didn't wanna take the whole door card off again. Today I decided to see if I could replace it by just pulling the loose lower outside corner and the answer is yes… Almost..
My replacement clip is significantly smaller than my old damaged one!
I used my digital caliper and measured my new clip and the circular top is 19.4 mm O.D..
My old semi oval shaped bad clip is 21.4 mm wide & 22.7 mm long O.D.
The slot on my new clip is much too small to slide onto the white, round, plastic, ‘button’ piece on the door. I tried forcing it but not even close.
Searching I see only clips that look like the new one I bought that is too small.
Found an eBay listing for 30X Door Panel Fastener Clip Stud Fits For Jaguar Xj8 XJR 1998 1999 2000-2003
But it shows top = 13.4 mm O.D. Even smaller than my new clip!
I assumed all the door clips around the edges of the door card were the same size. Only the huge one in the center was much larger & completely different.
I know all the clips are basically 2 parts
In your 1st image I am talking only about part number 4.
Part 5 is on the door frame, not the door card/panel.
I have no doubt that 4 will fit into 5 on my car.
The issue is how to secure part 4 to my door card.
The top or ‘head’ of part 4 seen on the L in your image, must securely attach to a white plastic ‘button’ on my door card.
The slot in my part 4 is much too small.
Yes that was my point. I can't explain what "other" means in the parts listing. But it would be worth a try to see if that other number does work or not.
They are close so hard to tell what will work without having it in your hand.

Part # 4, the male, is held in cut-out slots in the door card; you fit 4s to the door card, align it to #5s, punch it home.
I know.
My new part #4 & all the ones linked are too small. Cannot find a part #4 like my old damaged one.
My old semi oval shaped bad clip is 21.4 mm wide & 22.7 mm long O.D
my new clip and the circular top is 19.4 mm O.D..
I've seem measurements of < 19.4 for male clips for sale on ebay
