Reading a prior post, it reminded me - My previous 99 Jag XJR was a Canadian model, and had no radio codes. I an getting an 03 US XJR - Will this model have a radio code? All the manuals are supposed to be with the car, should the code be in the manuals (if the previous owner hasn't written it somewhere)? If it needs a code, and I cannot locate one, is the Dealership the only other option? Does it have to be the original selling dealership?

I went through all this when I picked my car up too. My US 03 XJR has a radio code. Since I got NO documentation with the car I couldn't tell you if the radio code will be in there somewhere. My Jag / Rover dealership was more than happy to dig up the code for me. They also warned me that if the radio has been swapped out from another car all bets are off. I haven't actually needed to try it to see if it is valid. (don't kick a sleeping dog!) The dealer I went through to get the code is not the original Jaguar dealership for this car.
