Default Rear door window replacing

Hi, new member but have been watching this great site for a while.

A villain made my day by smashing the rear door window on my 98' XJR. Got a used one but how to fit it? Can anyone please tell if the JTIS cover this? Thanks!

Thomas

Thanks Steve, that would be a great help. Seems as if I can't enable PM in the CP, perhaps because as a new member I need to qualify a few days? Anyway, I enabled the vCard option, seems to work fine.

Regards,
Thomas

I just did this a month ago- Need to remove the triangle in the corner of the window frame, molding and I removed the control box and motor/mechanism before I could get the window in. (obviously needed to remove the door card, etc.) it went in diagonally. If you could post a how-to while you are doing it that would be great, as I could not find one.

The link to the manual should be with you in your email Thomas. Hope it helps, and yes a +1 on a thread on how to do it in practice would be a great idea for anyone else coming up against this job.

Default Project restarted

Hi, I had to take a break with this project but now I made some progress with the info I received from Steve, many thanks for that.

I'm afraid I didn't notice Dan's much appreciated info until today, glad to hear that someone has done the job, if I succeed I will write some PM on how to do it.
I think Dan has already started it.
