Default Rear Sunshade Switch

I am interested in adding the power rear sunshade to my XJ. It does not have the upgraded stereo so the shade itself should be a straight forward install but I can't seem to find any info on the control switch. I have found one forum post referencing it being on the overhead console but cannot find a picture or a part for it. Can anyone help me identify the location of the switch and, if possible, a part number?

I would assume that it would be the same for all X308s, but it's a 2000 XJ8 if that matters..

The X308 from 1998 to 2003 is BASICALLY the same BUT, there are changes and upgrades that were made along the way.

I have never seen one with automatic/electric rear sunshade.

The X350 introduced in 2004MY did offer that option and I worked on a few of those.

Please post part numbers if you find the pieces to assemble the option.
The manual 'roll-up' kit part number is JLM21261xxx. (xxx = 3 letter trim code)

Ahh, okay. I mistook them for power. Manual is decidedly less convenient but still worthwhile, thanks for the part number!

I'm new to the platform, just inherited my grandmothers (she is still alive but no longer drives) and it is a diamond in the rough, never seen winter, not a speck of rust (besides the exhaust) or any other damage that would prevent it from being restored to concourse condition with a little love but since I intend to keep it forever I want to give it the OEM+/restomod treatment so I am trying to piece together all of the features it doesn't already have.

Judging by your sig you know these cars well, do you know if the wiring harness in the seats are all the same? I want to add VDP seat backs with the trays as soon as I find a clean set in AGD and I'm curious if the buttons on the passenger seat back are plug and play.

No idea if the control modules and/or harnesses are the same for the VDP passenger seat 'fore/aft rear-controls'.
The seat back can be fitted but don't know if the swichpack/harness will plug right in?
I would need to look at the electrical guides and parts catalogue to see the differences.

Good luck maintaining and upgrading the car!!
