Euro spec headlight switch and rear fogs
Has anyone converted to a euro headlight switch and wired the rear fogs?
i installed euro bumpers years ago, never got around to wiring the rear fogs.
i have found the wires in rear harness but cant get power to them, I assume this is because my headlight switch doesnt have rear fogs(just front fogs)
what switch do I need for my 1986 v12?
is this a straight swap?

Hi,
On my car the rear fogs are activated by pulling out or pushing in (can't remember which) the rotating light switch. It is fiddly and usually confuses the mechanics in my garage on annual safety inspections.
Apologies if you are already aware of this.
Cheers,
LeeP

The cars with rear fogs used a different switch, sometimes referred to as a "Euro" switch. I'll try to find a part number later; might take a bit of searching to find one in North America.

DAC5956 was superseded by DAC6913
The parts numbers get tricky. For the XJS the headlight switch was sold with the mounting bezel/panel as an assembly. For the Series III sedans the switch was sold separately...under different part numbers.
I am 99% sure that all of these switches will directly interchange as far as physical installation goes.
Cheers
