Hi,the rear window has has come away from the roof lining, any suggestions on how to fix/repair the problem

 

Can you give us a picture/ It is much easier to discuss a situation
if we have an adequate representation of the problem.

 

Sounds like a headliner concern.

 

I'm hoping this is more of a roof lining came away from the rear window thing.

 

I’ve sent three photos and not sure where they have disappeared too

 

Assuming you meant to say the headliner is falling away from the area around the rear window, use !/4inch or 3mm staples (staple gun or your desk stapler works) and staple the falling liner fabric to the underlying board. Simple to do. Now if the window glass if falling away from the body of the car, visit a glass shop.

 

Hi, the headlining is fine, it’s the rear window has come adrift from the canvas roof , I have taken the car to a couple of windscreen repair shops and they say that it is not within there scope

 

Find a good body shop; their scope tends to be much wider than a glass shop.

 

The canvas roof !? Sounds like you have an XK with a convertible top (?).
