Anybody have Instructions on how to remove the Exhaust from 2001 XJ8. Seems to be the only way for me to get to the O2 Sensors. Having one heck of a Time getting to the Lower O2 Sensor. Have a O2 Socket and still can't get it loose.

 

There are 02 spanners made which work well, just try a different tool!
Also if memory serves, a 3/8 drive 22mm crowfoot socket also fits.

 

Alex, I'm with bloweraddict on this one. Stand back, study it for awhile and go tool shopping. Or modify a tool you already have creating a "special tool" for the job. Sometimes cheaper than buying a new tool that will work. There should be no need to remove exhaust piping to get at these sensors.
