Replacing the Bumps Stops on my xjr with smaller ones
Hi Ladies and Gents, I want to replace the Bumps Stops on my 2003 XJR with smaller ones. I have a 2003 Jaguar XJR R1 with 8 x 18 ET33 BBS Milan Wheels. I recently Purchased 9 x 18 ET35 BBS Milan Wheels. The 275/40ZR18 rubbed on the Rear Bump Stop MNA3750AB. I was advised to replace the bump stops with the Bump Stop from an earlier model XJ40 XJ6. Here is the part # MNA3750BA. As anyone on the forum do ne this ? If so, is it a straight forward bolt on ? Or does it requires modification ? What do you think ?
There is an alternative bump stop for R1 equipped cars, but I can't find the part number. The common solution is usually just to cut down the existing bump stop, making it narrower, so that it doesn't rub on the wheel
Thanks Grandell and Ericjansen I appreciate the feedback. Halving the bump stop out seems pretty straight forward. Eric do you have a front view pic of the halve out bump stop ? Here is the pic of both MNA3750BA And MNA3750AB bump stops . What do you all think ?

I only have one from the stop installed.
I just used an angle grinder with a thin cutting wheel (lacking a lint saw), and cut off the protruding steel part, along the edge of the rubber.
It is a bit of a mess, as the rubber is vulcanized on the steel frame, and there is no way not to cut in it ( a lint saw will do much better there).
Quick and easy job though.
Wow: your wife lets you park your car on an oriental rug. Wow! Bought one in Hong Kong forty years ago: almost that long before she would let me walk on it.
Second one got it in Formosa. Looked a lot like yours. Still can't walk on it without getting my *** chewed . . .
