Default Setting valve lash

I recently put a aj27 engine from a 2001 xjr into my 1998 jaguar xjr supercharged, that came stock with the aj26 engine. When doing it is wasn't aware of all the necessary swaps from the old engine that need to be made , in doing some research I found out that I need to swap the intake cam on the drivers side (US) ,swap the flex plate , and a cupple pulleys , and set the valve lash. I am completely new to jaguars and this is my first engine swap . So if anyone could provide me with the correct steps for setting the valve lash with pictures if possible I would appreciate it.
also if there are any other swaps or adjustments needed please let me know.

The NA 4.0L are VVT, the cam lobe is a fixed lash setting, the SC 4.0L has no VVT. If your motor is together, this shouldn't be difficult to see if your timing is on. Use this tensioner replacement guide (with pics)... Tmingi chain and tensioner replacement ...you only need to set the TDC from the flex plate, then verify your cam lobes are flush and you should be good to go. But, that depends on how many miles you have on that motor. You may wish to check both sets of chains, their tension, the tensioners and the guides since your there.

the motor has 89k on it ,
also as far as the with the flex plate , is it necessary to swap it from the old engine or is there anyway around not having to take the engine back out to change the flex plate ? Because in the repair manual from the link it doesn't say that it was changed between the years , , also dose the tourqe converter need to be swaped from the aj27 engine or will the one from the aj26 work ?

In the link I provided you earlier shows how to time the engine.

There is a timing kit that has the tools to time the motor correctly.

You need to lock the flex plate at the CPS hole with plug in kit. Then the cam flats need to be aligned.

I learned in a previous thread from Motorcarman that when the flex plate is locked the #1 cylinder is at 45° ATDC. This allows the cams to be rotated with no pistons at TDC.
