Shock Mounts being replaced; other work to be done at same time?
'98 XJR, 83k miles...
I have having the shock mounts replaced tomorrow. Would it be wise to have the shocks replaced at the same time? My mechanic tells me after driving it, that the shocks are fine. But since I am paying for the labor, would it be wise to have them replaced when the shock mounts are being replaced?
Any other suggestions? Brakes are in order.
Thanks in advance,
-David

I asked my mechanic after noticing the bushings at the top of the shock mounts were decaying. The mechanic drove the car and I trust the shop the owners wife has a jaguar.
I will ask about the suggestions you mention. I live in Louisiana and the roads here be rough on cars. While they're in there I might have the shocks replaced. I have only had the car for 1000 miles so I don't know much of its history.
