another question when changing the side mirror glasses from my old 99 Jag to my 01 Daimler.. the old glasses were in better shape.. and when I took them out.. they dont only have the heating but also another purple wire attached?.. what is this for?.. automatic dimming?.. the daimler doesnt have that wire.. is it easy to achieve?

 

It is automatic dimmer. It is not easily to achieve.

 

That's what I thought.. Where does the signal come from?
I could open the door panel of the old one where it is installed and take it out..
But where is the other end. Haha..
The new one has the internal rear view that dims automatically.
I'm surprised the side mirrors don't? On a daimler..

Another Idea-- what if I swap the whole mirror from the other Jag?... will the wires be pre-installed and have the same connection?.. Id just have to change the chrome from the Daimlier mirrors to the old ones
