Default Side mirrors housing remove/replace?

Anyone versed on the removal of the entire side mirrors on a 98-03 XJ8? Videos, or how-to would be great!
Many thanks in advance!

based on earlier X300

The chrome pieces come off without the whole unit and don't need to come off if removing whole assembly

Buuuuuuuuuuut

No need to remove interior door side panels

with a plastic putty knife carefully pry off the fwd widow corner plastic triangle

It has plastic hocks on the inside you will probably break in the process but is also glued in place with anti rattle glue that can be reused

There is one nut about 15 mm and the threaded shaft on the mirror won't spin

The electrical connector is tucked into the main rubber seal so just tug out

I'm interested in this procedure also, my passenger (right side) mirror is a bit loose and I want to tighten it.
I'm afraid of breaking the plastic triangle piece on the inside of the passenger door.

Well, if you hear of the procedure, please pass it on, I’ll do same!
