ugh, I pushed the valet button by mistake when I hit the heated seat. I’m stuck in valet mode. Fob decided that it’s not working today. Has brand new batteries. Anyways, locking and unlocking doors didn’t reset it, with the black key.

Tried the mechanical lock on the boot. Took several minutes with pb blaster, inserting and removing, but finally got the key in. Another 5 minutes, got the black key to turn, but it’s only at 45 degrees. Tried pb blaster silicone lubricant, but still won’t turn 90 degrees, and won’t open. Does it need to turn 90 degrees to unlock?

looks like my next step is to try to go through license plate hole, if I can’t get key to unlock it?

egads, sorry for such a stupid question, but want to know if I should keep trying the lock or if I’m wasting my time. Boot lights work btw. Fixed them last week.

I switched from 2x 2016 batteries to one 2032 in the fob, as someone suggested on a different post... and fob works now! So was able to get valet off and trunk to open. Still curious on 45 or 90 degrees though
