Default Supercharger oil

I will be replacing my supercharger oil in the next few days. From going through old threads I had learned that the GM# 12345982 was supplied by Eaton and is identical to the Jaguar stuff but without the $60 a bottle price tag (called the dealer to ask). Unfortunately, GM no longer uses part number 12345982 and has a new blend with a new part number 10953513. Is this new GM stuff still acceptable for my car? or is there a better alternative.

if GM has a new blend for the same old vehicles, I would assume it should be compatible otherwise how those GM car owners find their SC oil anymore?

I don't know the details of the new blend, its just what I was told by the parts guy at gm that sold it too me. I assumed it was the same just with a new part number, but I would rather know for sure before I put it in the Jag

FYI the bottle does say made in the USA (don't know if that helps)

It's fine.

I don't even use a part number. I just find a random GM parts counter and ask for two bottles of SC oil. They sell so much of it that the guys usually just reach into a bin without looking.

Extracted the oil yesterday and it was dark. Glad I did the oil change and she is running like a top with the gm stuff. We will see what the future holds.

How did you evacuate it? I've tried numerous ways and can't get past the "bend" in mine right after the fill nut.

Mine was off the car so I dumped it out. Others have used a small piece of tubing (air line for an aquarium) and a syringe.

The stuff smells rancid when it comes out. The way we go it extracted was with a vacuum based extractor hooked up the an air line, to that we had a few reducers and smaller pipes until we were able to get the majority of it out. You will hit a sweet spot where the stuff just comes out real easy. Don't be afraid of moving the small tube around in there and if you are gentle there should be no problems.

Honestly, I must have a different set up as an educated man who has no trouble doing nearly anything to a car there is no way I could get an 1/8" line in there and get it turned . I don't even think I have an 1/8" of an inch opening at the 90 degree bend. No amount of reading threads has done it nor has using any aparatus that has been suggested. Is it just a casting that wasn't cleaned up as well?

I don't know if its just me being paranoid, but I have noticed a bit of a whistle noise coming from the engine bay under hard acceleration. I still have that wonderful supercharger whine but, I also notice the whistling sound similar to that of a of a turbo noise when they spool up. Is this normal?

Think I found the problem. Popped the hood and found an animal nest that was built up with a mixture of grass and my hood and firewall insulation under the air box. The car was only parked for the weekend and the animal ripped up the insulation, I am furious. Fortunately, I see no damage to any wires or hoses.
