It was buy it now for 13300 $, not bad for a 3 years old car. I know about the passenger dash airbags, no problem!
Even if the rear part of the chassis is a little bent, with 2k Euro is like new, professionally done in an aluminum body shop.
Yes, you have to.Originally Posted by flay
Hey Sean, you have to be a factory specialist to repair a car like this? https://www.iaai.com/Vehicles/Vehicl...adRecent=True#

1. It's almost impossible to repair an aluminium body panels. So, the replacement of a whole rear quarter needed.
2. new door
3. new from qt.
4. new roof (there's no repair technology for a convertible roof. it's even impossible to replase a rear windscreen)
5. new rear suspension with subframe
6. new exhaust
7. small things
8. paint job
In Russia, with VERY LOW labour rates, it'll cost up to 30k$.
And, after that, you'll have a car, that was damaged and repaired, not new or in a good/mint condition.
Cars with AJ-133 are funny, but i don't like them. I don't like a rotating shift knob (gimme the J-gate back), there's some problems with AJ-133 (AJ-34 is much more reiliable and have a lot of potential for tuning)...

Yes...you are right... I bet your job in JLR was not in body-shop but more in mechanics. Damn, that car was sold 2 hours ago!
Have a look on this guy's job, this is what I call a real hobby, not all of us are buying new parts for our Jags from main dealer(in 6 years,I bought just a battery for my Discovery and some MTF94).

Enjoy your car!

I am curious to see some impressions for the XKR after a few hundred km, from an ex X308 owner. For sure the 50k seems a lot for many of us, but it depends of what is the local price for the X308 (there are a lot of taxes included in the price, I know).
Looking for your topic with pictures after washing it.

Well, 50k$ is a lot of money, but it's kinda cheap for a low miles mint condition XKR.
As for a comparsion, i used to drive a lot of XK (XK, XKR, XKR-S; coupe and convertibles;4/2 and 5.0l before), so i can compare them with X308.
They are a lot faster, with much better brakes. Lower fuel cosumption, mine record was 12.3l/100km on an XKR (in a mixed city/urban cycle). Better sound system. And, the most imortant thing, they are much more comfortable - more leg room, better position of seat/steering wheel/pedals. And, for sure, driving them is BIG FUN, lol
Actually = these are the reasons why i've decided to replace a X308 with X150.
