tire size versus speed shown on speedometer
If you choose the right tire/wheel combo, you shouldn’t have an issue. If you go to larger rims, go to a lower profile tire to keep the overall wheel diameter the same. Your ride will suffer, but the handling will improve.
Example: going from a 16” wheel to an 18” wheel is easy with a lower profile tire.
I’m running 255/40 on 20” wheels on all 4 corners.
My car originally came with 18” wheels. I have exactly same wheel diameter using the 20” with the low profile tires. The speedo was verified to have the correct reading after installation.

Tires with outside diameter of 676mm (26.6") are very very close.
