hi all,

does anybody have a clue what the attached photos relate to?

i was rust treating and painting the panel underneath the air filter housing when i came across it. whatever it used to be has corroded away and left this....possibly a spring in there too as i found remnants of one in there also.

as always, any help greatly appreciated

 

Windshield fluid level sensor ?

There is a connector catalog for the X308 on my laptop somewhere

 

I'm with LP, looks like its for the windshield pump,

It is from the "bonnet open" switch.

 

it was the bonnet switch!
