Weird smell

Default Weird smell

Every time I floor it’s start smelling like gun powder , is that how premium gas smells like , this is the first car I have owned that uses premium gas

Gun powder? I would be suspect of a plugged CAT or carbon build up in the heads. Check your plugs to see how they look and are burning and make sure they are the correct ones.

Do you think I could use a catalytic converter cleaner ? And do you know anybody ones ?

I meant to say any good cat cleaners brand wise

No, not really, its only temporary if anything and these aren't exactly easy to get out on the Jags. Check out this video for a better understanding of how they work...

It ain't the gas: premium smells like the cheap stuff. Doubt it is the converters. Where do you smell this "gunpowder" smell? tailpipe, top of engine, head out the window? Maybe burning coolant from a leaking pump or burning electronics? Need more info. In 60 years of driving and working on cars, the only one that ever smelled like gunpowder was a jeep with a .50 cal mg in back, in RVN!

Follow up on HIghhorse' recommendation . . .
