Will I have to any modifications for these to fit my 2000 base ?
Well, you know that you will have a great fan in me .
Those are Double Fives, ~2001 XKR rims.
I think they came as standard for a year on the XKR, and were an option for other cars as well.an option.
If it is the original set, they are staggered, meaning wider at the rear (9J) than at the front (8J).
It also means that the tires followed this difference in width, but here Jaguar made some strange choices.
They installed 245/45 in the front, which is perfect, and 255/45 in the rear, which is not in relation to the difference in rim width.
This combination will fit without modifications.
Just check the rim size and tire size after you got them, the rims got them on the inside.
I myself went for 245/45 on the front, and 275/40 in the rear, which is the same proportional difference as the rims, with the same side wall height and tire outside diameter front and rear.
For good sake, I halved the bump stop in the rear wheel well (4 bolts to remove each side).
I still think they are not obstructing if the car is on the ground, but they definitely touch while in the air with wheels hanging.
Not a hard job to do at all though.

Shout if you need more info!
Thanks @ this price point & think it's a can't miss for me lol.
So you change rims in a minute ...
The Double Five story remains, but the new picture from Finn shows Asteroids, those are not staggered, all four are 8J, and will fit your car without modification.
EDIT: OK I give up, you edit posts and remove pictures quicker then I change my underwear .... .

Great, you will not regret, they look marvelous under a X308.
And from the 'ever changing' pictures, they look they will probably clean up just fine, just an other set of lugnuts.

These came today as well, all 4 shipped to my door for $25, very pleased as I was about to spend $70 for the exact same ones. My garage desk is filling up w/ goodies lol.
Edit : This paint vacation is going have me changing wheels, brakes & whom knows what else. I remember saying Eric's car was what mine wanted to be when it grew up, in jest. Now it's coming to fruition lol.

Did more spring readiness for autoX, added 2oz tranny fluid for good luck, and tested the LSD
Beautiful, Greverrr, you know I love your car to pieces.
By the way, I knew a guy in Germany who did the same burn-out with his then new 928 ... he ended up in the trees on the other side of the road.
Glad you found the brake in time .

I can only be honored, I hope it all works out fine for you
If you order the caliper covers from MGP, select the '1998 XK8 base' as your car on their website, they are the same brakes as yours.
I read the story that if you ask them, and say you have a XJ8, they reject the order.
It was in a thread somewhere on this forum.
I can give you my order number, and the super friendly contact person who handled mine, if you want.
Then PM me.

Absolutely.
Funny thing is I work personal security in various fields, many being entertainment industry for so called "celebs" whom can afford anything.
Lately I choose my personal cars for pick up & they get a real life kick out of it lol ?! Recently had one of my favorite teenager/rock/metal singers say "man these old Jags are sweet riding beasts huh ?! ", life is indeed good .
