I need to find a shift/ gear controll cable for my 2000 XJR. I have been looking all over but everyone is out, except for russia apparently.part # MND4830BE, MND 4830 BE
Does anyone know where incan find one?

 

You really only have two choices. Junkyard or dealer.

A lot of the sellers on ebay with XJR parts are really junkyards.

If you look up a part and the ad shows a picture of the whole
car, you can likely send the seller a message and ask if they
have that particular part available. If they do, they can
put up a private auction for you.

 

I *might* have one left over from a part out- can you PM me a picture?

jaguarmerriamparts.com shows the part number supersedes to MNE4830BB and that it is available, but at...gulp... USD $364.14 (retail is $432.60). And just because their website shows it as available doesn't mean there are any left in the Jaguar North America warehouse in New Jersey.

A salvaged cable is probably the easiest solution, but depending on what happened to your original cable, it's possible it could be repaired with parts from a "Universal Throttle Cable Kit" available from racing suppliers like summitracing.com.
