Default XJ8/X308 1997 Front subframe bushings MNC2370AC

Dropped the subframe, and had ordered the subframe bushings aftermarket(since the originals are not currently available). After pressing out the old genuines ones with a hydraulic press, the new aftermarket ones strangely could fit in just by hand very easily... I am worried that if they will be installed they will rotate out of their angled position.

Anyone has experience in reinstalling new subframe bushings MNC2370AC? Am I right that they should not fit by hand and should fit tight with a press instead?

Im thinking of returning the aftermarket ones and will try to find the originals...

You’re right, they should not fit in by hand. A press was definitely needed when I did mine about 4 years ago. They should also be clocked in a certain position prior to pressing in. If you’re unsure of the position, then I’ll go through my old phone to see but, it might take some time.
