Default XJR 308 fault 02 Lambda sensor symptoms

Hi all,
I have 2 fault codes p1646 and p1647 for 02 sensors upstream for each bank, can anyone tell me please the symptoms these 02 sensors would produce if not working, I will be replacing them in the next few days however the symptoms I have at the moment is sometimes i get a petrol smell in the car im not sure where its coming from but i can also smell it in the boot and coming out the exhaust, and the revs are around 500rpm when the car is warm, also it can hesitate to pull away sometimes when im at a stop as it il put my foot down normally to pull away then instead of just pulling away smoothly it might seem like its going cut out and stall but then it just pulls away quick as i give it a bit more from the gas pedal.
Does this seem like the type of behavior from the 2 non working 02 sensors.

many thanks in advance for aking your time to read and help with this.

Bad O2s mean the car can't get fuelling right and as lean is an engine destroyer it will run rich, gradually damaging the cats. You may smell it, or not.
