Default XJR/XJ8 wheel interchangeable?

It's a dumb question...no a REALLY dumb question. Is a stock 18x8 308 XJ8 wheel interchangeable with those on an XJR? Just bein' careful here...once bitten...

XJ8's didn't come with 18's.
But yes, they'll fit.

The only reason these wheels wouldn't be interchangeable is if smaller XJ8 wheels (eg 16's) don't clear the XJR's larger brakes. The rest of the specs PCD, offset, centrebore) are all the same/interchangeable

Thanks...I was worried about the offset...I need a new wheel to tide me over until I can get to North Carolina to pick up a set of Asteroids- I cracked a wheel which is not repairable and the donut spare, quite frankly, puts me straight on the ledge. This wheel is in a local yard , is definitely a Jaguar 18x8, but marked as coming from an XJ8....

Wheels off and XJ40 and X300 will fit the X308 too as long as you don't have the big brakes.

The wheels on my XJ are 18 inch intended for an XKR, they are 8J at the front and 9J at the rear. The first owner paid a lot of money for them when the car was new, I've just had them refurbished and I'm pleased with the results.

Which ones? Double Fives?

A user on here, ericjansen? (sp?) has them and they look good on his XJ.

I had the 18" Pentas on my 98' XJR but, when I got the car they had 3 bent wheels.
We were given a parts car that had these 16" crown wheels on it and so I took them off and had them powder coated. This car came with the standard XJ8 brakes on it so they cleared the brakes with the smaller wheels.
