Default Yea or nay?

I have found a 2000 XJ8 L with under 100k and a full dealer service history. It also has a new tranny and the 5 digit vin (I think this means steel liners)

Only know issues are a stone chip in the windshield and sagging headliner.

If I can find a windshield for a fair price and I assume I can get the headliner fixed by a local upholstery shop and everything else checks out do you think this is a good buy at $5000?

Anything in particular I should look for in this particular year?

The car is a one owner car and was, I have been told, well maintained.

Thanks for the help.

Eric

It's a good buy at that price with those records. Look for tensioner and water pump replacement in the records though.

Are you in OC?

also test every button you can find, see if there are any electrical glitches, then take it for a spiritual drive, and test that transmission
