5) OEM Ruby Red wheel centers DONE
6) Larger exhaust tips DONE.
7) Console temperature display bulbs. One bulb would go out occasionally, and light if I banged the console, but now it won't light even with a bang, so that is the "last" thing on the list. Reading about KC's bulbs saga has prompted me to get off my a** and get this done....

I have about 4 out, but from experience of changing a few ,leaving the old & seeing a big difference in brightness, I'm doing them all this time.

I can focus on my XJ again now that I’ve completed the restoration of my other car. My problem of late has been rain, it’s been raining for around 2 weeks here, but it’s dry today so I can have a check over the XJ ready for her MOT test next week. Things I need to do will take me into 2020, but I don’t mind. The worst thing for me is not to have anything to do on the cars.

Jessie Jag is 17 years old now and she requires a few things that I’ll work through slowly.
1) Pair of new Catalytic Converters
2) Front & Rear suspension overhaul to include shock absorbers, bushes and repainted components.
3) Pair of Front tyres to match rears.
4) Rust repair to RH front wing and both front sill edges. (Looks like the salty roads at Christmas got through)
5) Diff oil change.
6) Interior cleansing including repair to driver’s seat & installation of rear seat heaters (just because I can)
7) Metal thermostat tower installation (Izvestia had this thing since I bought the car, just haven’t got round to it)
8) A/C system recharge, it’s been a couple of years.
9) Parking sensor issue, system will only work in dry weather, possibly a bad sensor.
10) The other little things that will reveal themselves along the way

Use the contact info. below use my template if needed, plus your price will be lower using the email or phone to order as opposed to the website.

Been hunting the one last noise in the rear end after doing shocks/rubbers,wheel bearings, lubed springs etc. Discovered play on the rear driver side wheel so I suspect the shaft bearing, so I will tackle this in the coming days.

I thought it was time this thread was revitalized..........

These are the things I planned for 2019, and got done..................

1) Trunk Struts DONE
2) Intake valley heater hoses and 3-way valve. DONE
3) Metal thermostat tower. DONE
4) Really minor, but that small rubber bushing that supports the airbox was broken, so I replaced it. DONE
5) OEM Ruby Red wheel centers DONE
6) Larger exhaust tips DONE.
7) Center console bulbs DONE

And now I can add the ABS module. I have had the "TRAC/ABS not available" light come occasionally, but the last couple of weeks it became a near-constant fixture, so now it's done too.

8) ABS module repair. DONE

It's good to have a "To-Do" list, and fingers crossed, it feels really good that I don't have anything on that list right now......hopefully it stays that way!

Well, my main objective for 2019 - Sell it - hasn't gone as planned. People are even cheaper these days than usual. So... I'll leave the ad up but in the meantime, I've decided I'll start working through my new list on my own, and adjust the price accordingly as things get crossed off.
  • Trace out the P0455 issue. That's the big one, since I can't put it back on the road without it.
  • Troubleshoot the stiff/jerky steering wheel issue. It might need a new rack, or something in a joint rusted up, not sure yet.
  • Replace missing washer reservoir
  • Adjust the brake pedal switch
  • Hook up the parking brake cables (they're in place, just zipped out of the way after replacing the hub assemblies in the snow)
  • New valve cover gaskets
  • New Trunk Struts
  • New Pads and Rotors all four corners
  • New Tires
To be fair, I could get a used pair of tires cheap, and most of the rest isn't exactly expensive stuff, and I could check a good chunk of that list off in a day once the parts are ordered and arrive. But since apparently I'm the only one around here that thinks it looks better than any other $1200 car on the market, I guess I'll keep it and get more enjoyment from it and split miles between it and the GL.

EDIT: And an hour after I posted, a guy that had originally low-balled me, came back to meet my offer. We'll see lol. Good thing I hadn't hit the Checkout button on my cart yet!

As I expected, he backed out of the deal. Imagine my surprise that people with no knowledge of the car, or those who won't due proper research, see miles as the end-all, be-all. Oh well, back to planning on fixing bits.

Yes I bought mine w/ higher than wanted mileage but I did so seeing the history w/ tensioners etc. done. Mind you this is my 3rd run w/ the 308s so I like to think I'm well versed lol.
