Default Fuel Tank Leak Repair and Rust Aversion Paint Applied

Hello All,

Hope all is well.

I have added to my Photo Album collection a series of pics that demonstrate the cleaning, repair and application of rust aversion paint to the the fuel tank. Follow this link:

Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - Rob Evenson's Album: Fuel Tank Leak Repair and Rust Aversion Paint applied

I unfortunately had to go through this process because of a leaky boot, no garage and an extreme environment conducive to lots of rain and humidity. If you have or had a leaky boot, you need to at least look at the pics to see what happens over time if left untreated.

If anyone is interested in more detail, please do add to the thread.

Rob,
Wow - both on the condition of the tank and the outcome of the tank! Very well done, and thanks for sharing with us.

Cheers,
Scott

Rob,

Another great job, and your fuel tank looks so good it's a shame that it's hidden from view when remounted in the car.

Thanks for taking the time to take the photos and upload them for the benefit of the rest of us!

Cheers,

Don

Good day,

The Fuel Filler Latch Box contain a solenoid and a control circuit.
Usually the control circuit is the wrong part.
There is new Fuel Flap Electronics.
