Default Got new to me rims today

I picked up a new to me set of rims today off of Leeboy from here on the forum. Great guy and was cool to chat with well he helped put the new rims on the XJ6. Here are a few pics I took on the way home from his house. If anyone in the future needs to know XK8 rims will fit a XJ40 The tires barely clear but going with a lower profile on the fronts like a 245/40/17 would solve that easily.

It is sitting a bit low in the rear since there are 6 tires stacked between the trunk and the back seat...

Looks great, and nobody would guess that is a 20 year old car.

Looks good man. Just wondering about those metal wheel arches did you do that or was that like it since you've had the car. Good way to add more chrome to an extremely chromed out car with to begin with, I think I like it

The chrome wheel arch trim was very popular with the XJ40's, Series 3's, and XJS models. The X300, X308, and XK8 just don't have the demand for them.

The chrome arches were on the Jag when I got her. I plan on picking up some new ones though after the repaint.

There isn't any XJ rims i'd like to see on an XK8, but the other way around, I think that is the perfect way to personalize your car, and stay 'stock' while doing it. nice choice.

Funny you should say that as I couldn't find any XJ rims I really wanted to see on my XJ

I think I got the XK8 rims since I secretly want a XK8

I have the same car mine is just navy nice choice on wheels I love it. I will get some form mine soon ques. What is a good choice for tires on the stock wheels I have the p4000 on it now and they are gone. I plan to replace the wheels so i dont want to spend 100 a tire but I dont want to car to ride like crap. I would just wait and not do the tires but they are getting so bad they are getting dangous and i dont have 1000 or more to pop on wheels and tires now. Any thoughts.

pretty decent tires and $67.00 apiece

Also another source to check if your just trying to get by for now is craigslist for used tires. I know eventually my 15" firestones will be ending up on there.
