It sounds like you might have a ground problem or some wiring got disturbed when the belts were changed, but I'm only guessing here ... and it's possible there are multiple issues ...however, if all the trouble started when the belts were changed and the replacement alternator doesn't charge it does sound like the alternator harness and/or related circuitry/relays might have been damaged during the changeover?

You might want to check that the alternator(s) are OK by testing them off the car, i.e. at an auto-electric shop, at least that would eliminate one possible faulty component.

It may or may not help, but you could also do a hard reset after you identify the issue. You do this by disconnecting both battery terminals and touching the cables together for about 20 seconds. On some model years, this can reset the system to the default settings and MIGHT clear your codes.

HTH

Hi Charlroi19,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums!

I had seen your previous post about the ABS system but had not had time to think through possible causes of your symptoms. I think it would help us help you if you could give us a list, in chronological order, of what symptoms have appeared and what work was done, starting at the beginning of the first malfunction.

If you could provide this information in list form, it will be easier for us to understand, since your run-on paragraphs with no punctuation make your messages difficult to read and understand.

Line breaks are also helpful!

Cheers,

Don
