My first post here. I'm on a desperate search for XJ40 rear light lenses and in specific smoked gray left hand ones.
I have found a supplier for the rose right and left hands ones and I got a few good looking right hand smoked gray ones, but I can't seem to find left hand gray ones.
Anyone got any ideas, or possibly one or two lenses laying around?
I live in the Netherlands.

Search "xj40 smoke lens" on google. You'll see a few.

That's the problem, there are still a few websites that appear as if they're selling them, but the ones that still advertise the left hand smoked grey ones are all sold out. I've contacted 8 or 9 different websites/companies, but unfortunately none of them have the left hand ones available.
That's why I've decided to search here, hoping to find anyone that might have the left hand lenses still laying around unused, or know of anyone that still sells them, buy perhaps doesn't advertise them on the internet.

Contacted Welsh, didn't have the left hand ones. Also contacted SNG, moss-motors, Jagspares, prestige-spares (Australia) and jagpieces (France), and a few more.
I thought surely someone must still have the left hand lenses if the right hand ones are still readily available?
I have a set of rear lights I removed from a 1993 Vanden Plas parts car. I don’t know if the left one would be considered the smoked version you’re looking for, it may just be a std cherry red. Although they came from the same car they seem to look a little different. It seems these came in a few different variations.

Postage is $25 by surface in 6-8 weeks, or $43 Air in 3 weeks, or $53 Air in 2 weeks.
$50 US for the part.
I hope you can find one closer, if not I have one, and an '88 for parts.

I'm not exactly looking to buy the entire light unit, but I'm planning on refurbishing at least one, if possible more of these light units, hence I only need the gray lens itself.
The rose lightunits suffer more from our lovely UV-emitting friend up above, but unfortunately also the gray ones seem to lose their shine over time. That's why I'm refurbishing a few.
Still haven't been successful in finding a left lens. Would highly appreciate it if anyone has one, knows someone who might have one or knows a firm that still sells them!
