Hey David,
Congrats on the 40, she's a beaut! Looks like she's been well taken care of, too. Rims are the only thing I can really help you with, sorry. There aren't many aftermarket rims that look good on the XJ40 in my opinion, but there is one member on here, XJJagXJJeepDriver, who has a good looking set on his. I think they're star shaped, maybe you could ask him about the brand name and whatnot.
One really common upgrade to the XJ40's is a set of "Dimple" style wheels from the X300's. Here's a pic:

I got 4 for mine off of Craigslist for $50 each with tires, then got a spare later, might get 'em chromed at some point. It was one of the first upgrades I made, those tiny wheels that come stock have always made me think of a fat man sitting on a bar stool.
Anyway, good luck, and nice car! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Congrats on your cool new ride dude
I think your best best should be X300 Daimler's wheels but of course chrome polished ones . 16" is just fine

The main speakers to concentrate on that will enhance your system the most are the two speakers underneath the rear seats.I initially replaced the 4 door speakers and noticed some improvement in the sound, but it wasn't until I later replaced the two speakers underneath the rear seats that I noticed atremendous difference.

bmw rims DO NOT FIT! At least from 3 series and the m3's . I just tried to fit them and the front hub is too big for the center hole in the rim.

take a look at my car at www.garaget,org/jaggachafen

And look for rims at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DP-MOTORSPORT-CAR-MOD-S

And some BMW rim“s fit the bolt pattern will work but it“s not always the correct ET and centrehole

I would keep it just how it is. Looks like cream puff classic.
