Here is a good question, could the central microprocessor be the reason for the limp mode in the transmission and also why the power door locks work when they want to? Everything else on the vehicle has been checked.

Fuse boxes are very often defective and can't be checked by using a meter across the fuse ends as they will show good from the front but can still be hooped. Most are that have had water ingress.

Did you take them out and reflow the joints yet?

They can be intermittent and also fail under load. Are you checking the continuity through the fuseboxes? i.e. front to back? Dry joints on the fusebox circuit boards is a VERY common failure point.

Back to the transmission limp mode problem, the mechanic checked everything and everything checked out he said but what is the probability percentage that the throttle positioning sensor is still bad?

Hi Thumprr1226,

I recall that you found problems inside your TCM. Does your post quoted above mean that you tried a replacement salvaged TCM and still had Limp Home Mode? If so, did you open the salvaged TCM to see if it had any cold/starved/cracked solder joints or evidence of water ingress?

Have you cleaned the electrical connector for the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and the TPS itself?

Cheers,

Don
