Default VCM codes

I got an XJ40, 1994

Does anyone know what these mean? Is there a good reference out there? I have two codes. a "FUSE 1" which I guess is a fuse, probably linked to my accessories, as I have no power in the lighters, radio backlight or CD player. But what the heck is a "PRO" or "PAO"?

Thanks!

Welcome,
FUSE 1 ,FUSE 2 refers to the fuse boxes under dash .As I recall, Fuse 1 is the one for the passenger side .( FUSE 3 is the one into the arm rest lid )
Just find a screw driver and pry out the box cover , you should verfiy a bad fuse .It also states into the box which one is which .
What the heck you mentioned is PAD , you need to replace your brake pads or some pad wear sensor is bad .
You have my fave Jaguar and hope it serves you well

Its not PRO or PAO but is in fact PAD (ie brake pad warning).
Fuse 1, check fuses in the right side fuse box (A3 and C1 perhaps).
Cheers,

you guys rock I will check it tonight and get back to you... Pads? I can so do pads, hopefully its the pads and not the sensor.

I LOVE THIS CAR... I never thought I'd even look at a Jag but the XJ40 caught my heart.

It was C1 on the passenger side, good call. I'll check the brakes out this weekend. Being able to charge my iPhone is a big thing, especially if I can't get my CD changer working, might have to replace the stereo head unit to use the iPhone instead of investing in a replacement changer.

Thanks all!
