warning indicator light

Hi, i have a 88 xj6 and im getting a (power fluid low light) on my dashboard can anyone tell me what this means? I don't have a owners manual, also where can i get a owners manual![:@]

I have an '88 XJ6 and the light you might be refering to is the warning light for low mineral oil in the brake system. The brake system power assist is under pressure with fluid not vacuum
" Green Jag Juice" is available at any foriegn auto parts store and runs about $10 for a small container( @ pint or 2).

If you're low on brake fluid it would probably also mean that you are also leaking brake fluid...

Rayray, click on my screen name and send me a PM if you want a set of owners handbooks for your car. Frankie is exactly right, and you need mineral oil before you lose brake assist. You're not gonna be happy when you have to fix the leak, but that's another question for another day.

Geo, there is a different warning he would be seeing for "low brake fluid" if that were the case.
