Default Where is DBC6916 left hand splice box?

While trying to figure out my fan wiring difficulties I found the following part on ebay

DBC 6916 left hand splice box

Where is this located? I am just wondering if the two wires I am attempting to follow are somehow joined inside this "splice box"

I don't recognize that part. Do we have that on N American models? Or is that the back of the fuse box?

I think that's what it is - part of the fusebox assembly that the harnesses plug into.

Default Back of fuse box

No, this is the back of the fuse box at the bottom of the driver's A pillar.

back side of LMD2827AA fuse box

This is the back side of this splice box which you will see specifically says XJ40 5/93

Yeah I saw the part number and the notation on the sticker but searching the part number on the Jag heritage site come up "no such part" so not sure?
Oh and you have to undo that big bolt to get to the circuit boards in the fusebox.

I can't find the part numer at jaguarmerriamparts.com, either. From the size of the pins, it probably is not suitable for battery power distribution, but it could be related to ignition-switched power or ignition-switched grounds. If your car has a splice box like that, there are probably only a few places it would be mounted:

Behind one of the knee bolsters/underscuttles or near a corner of the dash, perhaps mounted on the climate control blower motor housing

In the center console

Somewhere in the trunk behind a carpeted trim panel

Can't wait to see if you find it somewhere!

Cheers,

Don
