hi everyone
searched the web and had lots of information and options but cant find solution to my problem,so i thought i ask here where there's wisdom and knowledge.
my central locking is playing me up on the fob when pressed for open just the back doors fuel and boot will open,if i put key in drivers door all the above will open and drivers door but not passenger.
passenger will open from inside and from lock but will only open its self.
would any of you wonderful people have any ideas.

Welcome, I think your passenger door lock solenoid needs to be replaced

Yep, bad door lock actuators, pretty common XJ40s as they age.

What year Majestic? 89, 90 or 92? When i was a used Jag dealer I handled about 6 of them, beautiful cars.

thanks for info any idea of cost and work involved to replace.
1994 is year its lwb version fantastic for its age a few problems need ironing out such as locks and headlinning sagging.
