Just picked up my first Jag - a 1989 XJ6 Sovereign - a couple of weeks back and am in the process of trying to get it through an inspection. The vehicle needs 4 parts (mostly cables/lines) for the handbrake, numbered as follows:
CAC86012
CAC86011 (MNA2743AA)
MMD5151AA
CAC8603
I've managed to find 86012 & 8603 after some extensive searching, but have been completely unable to find 86011/43AA and 51AA. Feeling sort of stuck as this is the main roadblock keeping me from getting this gorgeous vehicle on the road, and - being pretty much useless when it comes to mechanical know-how - I'm not sure if there are any workarounds or aftermarket/universal options that would work in my scenario. Have you guys found any solutions for this? Would really appreciate some guidance!

Hi Treesways,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
That's a truly gorgeous XJ40! I can't wait to see more photos!
Jaguar Classic Parts (parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com) shows MNA2743AA as In Stock, but at £93.13 plus shipping from the U.K. MMD5151AA is shown as Out of Stock. I would suggest you search hot rod and racing suppliers like Summit Racing for generic Bowden cable or throttle cable kits from which you might be able to fabricate suitable replacements for the parts you need. Another option is to search eBay for sellers who are parting out similar cars and send them a message asking if they can supply the cables you need.
