Default Yellow plate under the hood (Bonnet) - RESOLVED

Esteemed colleagues:

As I published before, my XJ40 4.0 1993 American Version has been restored to mint condition. Now, the inside is being cleaned and refreshed, final details are almost finished.
I have a question: As you can see in the picture, this yellow plate is placed somewhere in the hood of the car. It was taken out as the hood liner was destroyed and is being replaced.

Could you show me EXACTLY where it's supposed to be placed?

Thank you!

This plate tends to be so heavy that it tears the hoodliner and adds to the destruction. I have a look where mine is layer if I can remember! LOL

Are you restoring or replacing the plate?

The plate is 2-7/8 inches from the top (rear) edge and 14-1/4 inches in from the right side of the original liner. This is where the crease I. The metal is.

Hi!

Thank you for you reply. No, the plate is fine. Just needed to know it´s exact placement. Another colleague has already shown me where.

Warm regards

American Jag slightly right of center if mine is correct. It appears to be original.
