1979 Series II high beam issue
Hi everyone,
I had some engine work done recently and now my high beams do not work. I have checked the fuses in the two areas near the radiator marked "dip" I have also changed the relay C38616 with no success. When I move the lever for "dip" the light on the dash "beam" no longer lights and the high beam lights do not light. Anything else you can think of?

Series II beyond any "expertise" I might have.
But, "engine work" is a clue. Any disconnects up at the radiator or even "fiddle" at the wires.
The outboard lamps should have three wires to each socket. Hi, low and ground. The latter is the first suspect. Somewhere I saw and read of the "strange" connection. A bracket like device attached to the chassis that would accept the post of the wire. Any corresion there and the lamp is dark.
But,as you do have low, probably not guilty here . Still worth cleaning up...
So, now ID whigh wire is high and which s low. Spark at the socket on each. My guess is not on the high ?? track back....
Good luck with the "electrickery"...
Carl
