7" headlights
They are metal, these are current photos of them on my car in these photos. I only have the new style rings, not the whole "kit".
Outer headlights are Halogen with high and low beams.. the inner smaller lights are Cibie driving lights with a separate switch on the ski slope.

I'm hoping something like this from Ebay works for the rest of the 7" headlight conversion.

I've done two 7" conversions and used MGB buckets and hardware. But, that's not to say that other stuff won't work
Cheers

All the headlight rings have bottom pieces that stick out and fit into "grooves" on the attaching points... cannot tell if those long screws are them or not? Then a longish screw with a dished head holds the ring in place.. should be able to use the existing screw?
If you take out your old rings you will see the two mounting tabs on the bottom.

Very generically :
The black part replaces the smaller Jaguar unit screwed to the wing of the car.
The chrome ring retains the lamp to the black part. The screws with "shoes" are for moving the lamp to focus. Horizontal by one and vertical by the other.
But, something is awry. A missing part???
I might spend some shop time. I have a bunch of the stuff on my bench. Il look.
In the interim, check out a Jaguar body parts catalogue, An exploded view would help a lot

Thanks, of course these are generic parts so I don't think a Jag catalogue will help.
I went ahead and just mounted the headlights in flush without adjusters for now.
Here's a before and after. I'm trying out the yellow high beams. I think they look kind of cool.

Thanks to Roger for the 7" trim rings. Nice and solid and chrome is perfect.

These pieces are part of the mystery. I think that groove near the head of the screw fits into the bucket slot. But the black plastic piece clips where? Through a hole in the car body?

and I found a picture of the spring. Something like this:

Other than that the bucket and trim ring work well!

I have a set of vented ones on my car If I remember I got them from a fellow in Canada years ago. When I had a lot of the body panels off I removed the large hoses and the baffles at the headlight bucket area - l left the blocked off vent as it was -blocked off.
IMHO I think the 7 inch lights make the car. I have some big flat glass headlights - they add to the styling . has an even more exotic look. Reminds me of the effect a woman gets when she puts on eyeliner - accentuates her appearance.

the two black plastic brackets and screws are the Alignment (vertical & horizontal) of the headlights.
I have witnessed very lacking, cheap, total garbage 7" plastic headlight kits selling for over $300.00, and the finisher bezels were cheaply chromed.
Buyer Beware.

I did my 7 inch conversion a while back. I used the MGB buckets which came with the 2 pieces mentioned below.
You are missing a piece. 1 piece is attached to the fender with 3 screws. A 2nd (adjusting) piece is mounted inside the piece attached to the fender.
From the picture, that is the piece you have.
The 2nd piece is attached to the first piece with the 2 adjusting screws and the spring.
The adjusting screws apply tension to the spring which is installed in a small hole and attached to a tab on the first piece.
When you loosen the adjusting screws, one for up/down and the other from side to side. the spring tension will move the headlamp to the desired position.
When you tighten the screws the will apply tension to the spring.
Parts you need:
Main Bucket: permanently attached to the fender.
Adjustment Bucket: should have 3 holes to affix the headlamp and headlamp trim ring.
2 holes for the adjusting screws.
a hole to the back for the spring.
The headlamp bezel which you have.

I used MGB as well,.. in fact most of those British small sports cars use generic headlight buckets. My old TR3a had the same buckets,.. and if I recall my bug eye Sprite had the same buckets. I also have the rubber insert (gaskets) that fit into the bucket bowl. What a difference the 7 inch lights make to the appearance of the front of the car.
Carl !!! Put those lights on !!!!

The E-Bay seller tells me that these are open box International Harvester parts. So not really generic and made to work for different situations.
I personally couldn't justify paying the price for the Jag Specialties kit so I pay the price in making things works. How I roll.
